Docs Sprints Sprint Settings

Sprint Settings

Sprint Settings let you customize how your sprint's Kanban board works. Access them from the Settings tab on any sprint.

Board Columns

By default, every sprint has four columns: To Do, In Progress, Review, and Done. You can customize:

  • Column visibility — Hide columns you don't need. For example, hide "Review" if your team doesn't have a formal review step.
  • Column order — Columns follow a fixed order (To Do → In Progress → Review → Done) to maintain a consistent workflow.

WIP Limits

Work In Progress (WIP) limits help prevent overload. Set a maximum number of stories allowed in a column:

  • In Progress — e.g., limit to 3 stories to focus on finishing before starting new work
  • Review — e.g., limit to 2 to prevent a review bottleneck

When a column reaches its WIP limit, a visual indicator appears on the board.

Member Access

Control who can work on this sprint: - Add team members who should have access - Remove members who don't need it - Members can drag stories on the board and update statuses
