Creating Sprints
Sprints are time-boxed periods of work. In SprintVibe, you can create sprints manually or let AI generate them for you.
Manual sprint creation
- Go to your project page
- Click New Sprint
- Fill in the details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A descriptive sprint name (e.g., "Sprint 3 - Authentication") |
| Goal | What you want to achieve by the end of this sprint |
| Description | Additional context about the sprint scope |
| Start Date | When the sprint begins |
| Duration | 1-4 weeks |
- Click Create Sprint
Sprint statuses
Sprints have three possible statuses:
- Planning — The sprint is being prepared. Stories can be added, edited, or removed freely.
- Active — The sprint has started. Work is in progress. Only one sprint per project can be active at a time.
- Completed — The sprint is finished. Stories are locked and metrics are finalized.
Starting a sprint
When your sprint is ready, click Start Sprint from the sprint settings or planning view. This changes the status to Active and enables the Kanban board.
Completing a sprint
When the sprint is done, click Complete Sprint. Any unfinished stories remain in their current state and can be moved to the next sprint or back to the backlog.
