Docs GitHub Integration Connecting GitHub

Connecting GitHub

Connect your GitHub account to SprintVibe to give Vibe real codebase context for more accurate sprint planning.

Requirements

  • Pro or Teams subscription (Hobby users see a locked state with an upgrade prompt)
  • A GitHub account with access to the repositories you want to link

How it works

SprintVibe uses a GitHub App installation to securely access your repositories. This means: - You control exactly which repositories SprintVibe can see - No personal access tokens are needed - Permissions are scoped to only what's needed (read-only code access)

Connecting your account

  1. Go to SettingsIntegrations
  2. Click Connect GitHub
  3. You'll be redirected to GitHub to install the SprintVibe app
  4. Choose which repositories to grant access to (all repos or select specific ones)
  5. Click Install — you'll be redirected back to SprintVibe

After connecting, you'll see your GitHub account listed on the Integrations page with an "Active" status badge.

Managing your connection

From SettingsIntegrations, you can: - View status — See your connected GitHub account and its status - Disconnect — Remove the GitHub connection (this also unlinks any repositories from projects)

Troubleshooting

"GitHub installation failed"

This usually means the installation was cancelled on GitHub's side. Try connecting again.

"GitHub integration requires a Pro or Teams subscription"

Upgrade your plan from SettingsBilling to enable GitHub features.

Repositories not appearing

If you don't see a repository in the picker, go to your GitHub settings and update the SprintVibe app installation to include that repository.
